Data Centres
Data centres operate continuously with no tolerance for unplanned outages. Testing and inspection programmes have to work around redundancy architecture. We design programmes around your operational requirements and work within your processes, working in phases to keep live infrastructure running. Thermal imaging is particularly valuable in these environments: elevated temperatures at cable terminations, busbar connections and distribution equipment indicate developing faults before they become a service-affecting failure.
Financial Institutions & Banks
Banks and financial institutions operate under rigorous operational resilience requirements. Trading floors and dealing rooms cannot be taken offline during market hours, and access for contractors is subject to security clearance and strict protocols. We are experienced working within these constraints: coordinating access, working in managed windows, and producing documentation that meets the requirements of internal audit and external regulators.
Research Laboratories
Research laboratories present specific electrical compliance challenges: specialist equipment with uninterrupted power requirements, cleanroom environments with controlled access, and refrigeration systems where a power interruption can compromise months of work. We coordinate closely with facilities teams before any work begins, plan around critical systems, and carry out testing with minimal disruption to live research.
Heritage Buildings
Mixed-era installations are common in historic buildings, and wiring runs can be undocumented or only partially recorded. Buildings that have changed use or ownership over time often carry legacy circuits that were never properly decommissioned or documented, meaning that what’s on the record is not always what’s actually there. We have extensive experience surveying heritage buildings, including environments with significant cultural or conservation constraints.

Commercial occupiers, landlords and public sector estates teams often manage compliance across multiple buildings, with obligations triggered by lease renewals, tenancy changes and insurance requirements. We carry out EICR, PAT testing, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing for single sites and portfolios, and work alongside principal contractors on fit-out and refurbishment.
